Grampa Links to the Rescue!
I remember this time when I was in fourth grade, it was our PE day, but it was raining outside. This resulted in us having to play kickball in the inside gym. One crazy kid decided it would be fun to play with a giant crab ball instead of the normal sized one. So as I was not paying attention to where the ball was being kicked, it hit me in the back of the head and made me hit my chin on the hard wood ground and I had to get stitched up. Trying many times to call my parents and even neighboors, nothing ended up successful, except for my sweet Gwampa Links! I remember feeling so relieved that he was going to save me and take me to the doctor! He "saved my life" that day in my teeny little world when I needed it the most and I will never ever forget it.

Float-tube Memories
When my Daddy and Kyle were telling us about their "Fathers and Sons Outing" and float-tubing in Grandpa's gear, I had such a flood of good memories of Grampa Links. I love thinking about those peaceful times on the lake watching Grampa out there serenely floating in the middle of the glassy water. His countanance brings so much peace. (Except at a BYU football game, amidst some "bad calls" :) I miss him! I can't imagine how sockety it will be to be reunited with him. So much love.

The Beginnings of a Family History
This blog is one feeble attempt at bringing together memories, thoughts, tributes, pictures, stories, reports, or anything having to do with Bob and Ardis Cook and their family. I chose the blog format because I think that it will be one good way to gather things together without worrying about order or completeness. It's my first blog, and so I don't know what I'm doing. But I will learn as we go.
So if you have a minute and want to add a memory, thought, tribute, picture, story, report, or anything having to do with Bob and Ardis Cook and their family, PLEASE make yourself at home. Someday this will be a valuable resource to all of us.
Please email me at doncook@byu.edu if you have questions or want to communicate "in person."
